Our house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood.
Please consider the neighbours.
After 10 PM, please be careful with the volume.
Upon your arrival
Please inspect the house, garden, and pool immediately to ensure everything is in order. If not, please report it immediately so it can be repaired promptly. Don't hesitate to call or email us if you have any questions.
For your safety
Smoke and CO2 detectors are present in the house, as well as fire extinguishers for the upstairs (located in the kitchen) and downstairs (located in the small kitchen). A first aid kit is also available for minor emergencies. The pool is secured with a cover when the pool is not in use (see pool rules).
Need help and/or in case of emergency?
For the general emergency services in the area, you will find all relevant numbers in the house folder. An overview is also hung on the wall in the kitchen. The doctor's number can be found in the medicine kit in the kitchen.
If you urgently need help with anything related to the garden, the house or the pool, you can contact Annie or Gérard Cluzel. They live not far from our house and take care of the house and garden for us (they only speak French!). If you encounter language difficulties, you can contact me. If I can't answer, please leave a message or send me a text. I will call you back as soon as I can.

The septic tank
This house discharges its wastewater into a septic tank (a septic tank), where all the wastewater is purified by bacterial decomposition.
Therefore, do not use chlorine-containing cleaning agents (BLEACH) and be frugal with aggressive cleaning agents. Also, do not flush food scraps, sanitary towels, wet wipes, etc. down the toilet. And only pour dishwater down the sink.
Please wipe greasy pans with a kitchen towel before placing them in the dishwasher.
Kitchen use
Our stove has 4 electric ovens and the 7 burners work on gas, the gas bottles are in the kitchen cabinet to the right of the stove. There are 2 bottles, if one of the bottles is empty, it can be exchanged for the other bottle. If you cannot or do not want to do this yourself, you can call our French contacts. Normally, it is not necessary to change the bottles as they are well filled.
Feel free to use the herbs in the herb garden and the available herbs and cleaning supplies in the kitchen. Please top up when something runs out.
The water
We use a water softening system. The water is drinkable, but we advise you to drink filtered water or bottled water.
Underfloor heating
In both bathrooms, underfloor heating is installed. Please use this only during the cold winter months. The display should read 'off'.
Outdoor kitchen
There is an outdoor kitchen with an electric griddle. There is no barbecue present due to the fire hazard during the very dry summer months. Open fires are therefore not permitted.
The pool rules
Our swimming pool is open from May 1st until the end of October. The pool is heated to approximately 26 degrees C in May and September.
2. The owner is responsible for providing the proper security of swimming pools, in accordance with legal regulations.
3. Children under the age of 14 may only use the pool under the supervision of an adult, and it is mandatory for children without a swimming certificate to wear a life jacket/floaties.
4. The pool is secured by a cover (solar powered, a separate instruction video will be sent to you in advance) that should be closed and locked at all times when the pool is not in use.
5. Security should never be seen as a replacement for parental supervision of their children. The owner is not liable for accidents in a swimming pool belonging to the Holiday Home.
The tenant should check the operation of the security system upon arrival and immediately report any defects to the owner.
6. Accidents resulting from the fact that the tenant disables the security system or leaves the pool unattended are solely the responsibility of the tenant.
7. The tenant must maintain constant supervision of the pool when the security is temporarily disabled (cover is open). The tenant will also only leave the pool unattended with a closed cover when not present at the holiday home with co-tenants. The tenant is explicitly responsible for any accidents involving third parties (neighbors' children, etc.).
8. Tenants are not permitted to operate the technical installations of the swimming pool (the water and heat pumps) themselves. If there are any issues with the pool, the tenant must inform the owner as soon as possible to prevent (further) damage.
9. The owner can never fully guarantee the water temperature in swimming pools. By closing the pool cover, the heat of the pool water is better retained. The (temporary) inability to use the pool due to a low water temperature cannot be claimed by the renter from the owner.
10. The (adult) tenant can use the key to open and close the cover/lid (instructional video is sent to you prior to the rental).
11. Dogs are never allowed in the pool, as this can damage the liner (the inside of the pool).
12. At least once a week, our pool man checks our pool. He cleans it and checks the water values.
Charging your electric car
We offer an additional service for charging your car. It concerns a 7 KWh charging station which you can use during the day or at night. If you want to make use of this, let us know (Rob and/or Liesbeth). Then we can reserve the charging station for you. Subsequently, we will charge you the costs per KWh.
The registration of this is managed via the charging station app in our possession.
Parking your car
You can best park the car up top by the garden fence. For unloading your luggage, you can drive down once for your convenience.
When You Depart
Please leave the house clean, throw the waste in the bins in the designated waste bins in the village. Please remove the bedding from the beds and place it together with the used dishcloths and tea towels in the laundry room by the washing machine. When you leave, please hang the house keys back in the key cabinet.
